Lesson 10: Halloween

Class Duration: 30 minutes
Objective
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to
use Halloween-related vocabulary
follow simple commands
count up to 12
witch, ghost, pumpkin, skeleton, monster, bat, wear a costume
walk like a ghost, stomp like a monster, fly like a bat （お化けのように歩く、モンスターのように足を踏み鳴らす、コウモリのように飛ぶ）
Exercise 1
Warm up and Let’s Watch (6 minutes)
The tutor will introduce “Halloween” by showing a picture and will play the video "
This is The Way We Trick or Treat
" by Super Simple Songs.
Exercise 2
Look and Follow (8 minutes)
The tutor will introduce some Halloween characters.
Students will practice some actions.
Afterwards, the tutor will show again a picture of a Halloween character, and the students have to do the action associated with the character.

Exercise 3
Let’s Play 1: Rock, Paper, Scissors! (8 minutes)
The tutor will call a pair of students to go in front of the class.
The two students will play Rock, Paper, Scissors. The winner will have a chance to look at the picture on the screen, answer “It’s a~,” and do the action associated with that character.
The loser of Rock, Paper, Scissors can try to answer if the other student doesn't know the answer.
The tutor will call the next pair of students to play for the other pictures.
Exercise 4
Let’s Play 2: Trick-or-Treat (6 minutes)
Students practice counting "candies" for a "Trick-or-Treat" activity.
