Iconic Polaroid Camera Now Available as Lego
The Polaroid OneStep SX-70 camera, released in 1977, is said to have introduced instant photography to many homes around the world.
Known for its rainbow colors, the camera is still popular today — so popular, in fact, that you can even get it in Lego form.
The Lego Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera is a replica of the iconic Polaroid camera, and it's made using 516 Lego pieces.
The set came about thanks to Lego Ideas, a website where fans can share what they've made and suggest ideas for future Lego sets.
The camera was based on a project designed by a Lego fan who gives his first name as Marc, although he is also known as "Minibrick Productions" online.
"I've always loved the design of the Polaroid OneStep," he said. "It's incredibly iconic and shows up everywhere!"
Marc said the project took him over a month to complete, adding that he started designing it while he was on holiday in France.
The Lego Polaroid camera is an almost perfect copy of the original Polaroid camera. It includes a viewfinder you can look through, a dial to change the light in your photos, and a shutter button you can press.
But there's one important difference — the Lego Polaroid camera doesn't actually take real photos.
Instead, the set comes with a model of a Polaroid film pack, and three toy "photos" — including a Lego-style image of Polaroid's founder, Edwin Land.
The photos can be put into the camera, and pop out when the shutter button is pressed.
The Lego Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera is now available in stores.
