Scottish Hotel Looking for Breakfast Comedian
Here's a joke for you: What does Peter Pan have for breakfast?
Pan-cakes!
Okay, this isn't the world's best joke. And it's probably not funny enough to get a job at the AC Hotel in Glasgow this summer.
Telling jokes isn't usually important for anyone wanting a new job, but this Scottish hotel is looking for someone funny to entertain guests during breakfast this August.
And telling a great breakfast joke could help you get the job!
August is the time when a famous arts festival takes place in the nearby city of Edinburgh.
It's called the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and some of the UK's funniest comedians — and other performers — take their shows to the Scottish capital all month.
Millions of people travel to Edinburgh to watch the shows, and the city gets so busy and expensive that people often have to stay 80 kilometers away in Glasgow.
That's why the hotel is offering paid work, free accommodation and travel to one lucky person.
The only thing is, they'll already have to be performing at the Edinburgh festival as a comedian.
The comedian who gets the job will have to tell jokes at breakfast twice a week while they're performing at the festival.
Any comedians interested in the job — and the free accommodation — have been asked to send a 60-second video to the hotel by August 7, explaining why they should be chosen.
They might have to do better than that pan-cakes joke though!
