Preparation
Exercise 5
Each student needs a sheet of paper and a pencil so that they can draw one family member.
Exercise 1
Listen and Repeat (3 minutes)
The tutor will introduce each family term and the students will repeat after the tutor.
Then, the tutor will teach a sentence pattern to introduce one's family member and the students will repeat after the tutor.

Exercise 2
Let’s Play: Chant Game (10 minutes)
Students will form groups and sit in a circle. If possible each group should have 5 students maximum.
Students will have to clap their hands twice, and then each student will have to say one family member word. They will go clockwise.
Each will have to say a different family member from the previous student.
The steps are as follows: all students clap twice, then one student says a word, then they clap twice again, then the next student says his word, then they clap again, and so on.
This has to be done at a normal pace (tempo), not too fast, not too slow.
Each group may take turns. (e.g. group 1 first, then group 2 next)

Listen and Repeat (3 minutes)
The tutor will read the target vocabulary about activities and the students will repeat.

Exercise 4
Let’s Practice (5 minutes)
Students will practice making sentences based on image cues.

Exercise 5
Let’s Talk (9 minutes)
The tutor will practice a sample conversation with the students.
Then, students will have to draw one family member on a piece of paper, stand up, and talk to their classmates. They will show each other the pictures and talk about what their family members can do.
