Well, there are a lot of dishes I could tell you about. I've got a sweet tooth, so normally I'd choose something with lots of sugar. But I also love home-cooked meals that my mom makes from scratch, so the dish I'd like to tell you a bit about is bibimbap. It's a well-known traditional Korean dish, and I absolutely love it. I often get cravings for it when I'm away from home.
Bibimbap is basically rice mixed with meat and some vegetables. When I was growing up, it wasn't something you could buy at a restaurant. My mom would make bibimbap at home to use up leftovers or when she didn't have much time to cook. The smell of it cooking used to really make my mouth water.
My mom would just throw some rice, vegetables and kimchi together, and make a simple vegetarian bibimbap. But when I make it, I like to follow a more traditional recipe with raw beef and raw egg yolk.
In my country, we usually eat with metal chopsticks. But with bibimbap, you can use a spoon if you like. It's really important to mix it up carefully, and you can add gochujang, too, if you want.
Bibimbap is now one of the most well-known and popular Korean dishes. Also it can be vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free, so the majority of people can enjoy it regardless of their dietary requirements. Ultimately, I think it's popular because it's healthy, delicious, and easy to make.
