Man Plays World of Warcraft for Record 59 Hours
"You can't play video games all day!" How many children have heard their parents say that?
Well, a man from Hungary has been busy showing the world that he can, in fact, play video games all day.
And not just for one day. No, Barnabás Vujity-Zsolnay (pronounced: BORN-abash Voo-EETCH JOR-nai) played World of Warcraft for 59 hours and 20 minutes — that's almost two and a half days — setting a new world record!
He's now the holder of the Guinness world record for the longest video game marathon playing World of Warcraft and he also took the record for the longest time playing any online multiplayer role-playing game.
He did get short breaks during his gaming. After every hour of continuous playing, he earned five minutes of rest, when he could use the bathroom, sleep or eat.
World of Warcraft is a very popular game in which players can create their own characters, fight monsters and complete tasks while exploring a virtual world.
Vujity-Zsolnay loves the game, but breaking the record wasn't easy.
He said that he got bored after about 30 hours and began to hallucinate after 45 hours.
"It was funny but also hard to concentrate while live streaming," he told Guinness World Records.
But although he felt tired, he said he didn't drink any caffeine, only lots and lots of water.
Vujity-Zsolnay, who works as a chef in Budapest, used to spend 10 to 16 hours a day gaming when he was a teenager, but he doesn't think it's a good idea for everyone.
"I don't regret it and I don't recommend it," he said.
And he doesn't plan to lose his record. He added: "This is mine for life — I want everyone to know that."
