Long Distance Relationships

“Out of sight, out of mind” – this is a very famous phrase. But does it really apply to long distance relationships? Being away from someone you care about can be one of the most difficult experiences. Showing affection and love to someone who is far away can turn into a challenge.

Can long distance relationships last? They can. But they are hardly ever easy.

Trust is the key to a successful long-distance relationship. It is very hard to maintain trust when you are far from each other. If you don't trust your partner, you will end up feeling miserable every day that you spend apart, and worrying about the things that might happen while you’re not together.

Time is also very important. A simple e-mail, text message or video call can mean a lot. That's why it's very important to take some time to let your partner know that they're still one of your priorities, despite being away.

A long distance relationship is a very big challenge, but it is never impossible. It is just a matter of being faithful, knowing your priorities, and proving that love is more powerful than distance.
