I'm going to describe Ju Ming's sculpture, Men with Umbrellas. It's located in the Ju Ming Museum, in New Taipei City. It's part of his Living World Series. The sculpture is made of steel. It portrays a group of businessmen in suits, holding umbrellas. They're not exactly lifelike, but also not totally abstract. The figures are like humans, but stylized, and they are dressed like normal businessmen.
I like this work of art for two reasons. Firstly, it reminds me of the first time I visited the museum. I was young, and I was traveling on my own for the first time. Also, I feel like the artwork really spoke to me. I had just finished university, I felt like the sculpture reflected my future. It made me consider how my future decisions could affect my career. I didn't want to end up like an old grey businessman!
So for me, Men with Umbrellas is a special and thought-provoking work of art.
